About This Course
This self-paced course will delve into the concept of inquiry-based and problem-based learning activities for students using technology. WebQuest as an example for technology-enabled inquiry-based learning will be introduced in the course for learners including a practice assignment of planning and designing a WebQuest for students. Completion of these activities with required criteria will lead to receiving the Digital Badge.
This course is offered to teachers and teacher educators also as an initiative to celebrate ‘Teacher Appreciation Month’ by CETE, TISS.
Course Objectives
During this course, the learners will be able to-
- Explore inquiry-based learning and technology applications that nurture it
- Design and implement a WebQuest plan as a technology-enabled inquiry-based learning activity for students.

Teachers, student-teachers, and teacher educators associated with or teaching middle and secondary level students can enroll for this course.
Course Staff
Dr. Amina Charania ,Associate Professor, CETE, TISS
She has worked on developing the Integrated approach for Technology in Education at the Tata Trust, and conceptualizing of the CLIx initiative. Her research interests are in the areas of teacher professional development for technology integration (TPACK), and student use of technology within a constructionist approach.
Ms. Sohini Sen, Senior Manager, teacher Professional Development, CETE, TISS
She has been a part of Integrated approach to Technology in Education (ITE) since 2013 and has been associated with TISS ITE Resource Team since 2016. She has been managing the Certificate in ICT & Education for School Teachers along with providing monitoring and capacity building support for on ground implementation of ITE in government schools as a member of the resource team.
Mr. Raoson Singh, Technical cum Program Specialist, CETE, TISS
He has been a part of the Integrated approach to Technology in Education (ITE) since 2014 and associated with ITE Resource Team, TISS since 2016. He likes to explore new technologies, ICT applications, and programming software and their implementation in ICT and education. His interest areas also include working with Artificial Intelligence and improvising Learning Management Systems for school education.
